So, how does the Unimet Wallet work?

So, how does the Unimet Wallet work?

A wallet is another name for a purse.
You put money into a purse, and when you need it to buy something, you take money out of the purse, and then pay for something.

The Unimet Wallet works the same way.

When you add money into your wallet, it is your money. It stays there until it is needed to pay for something.
If you don't ever pay for anything, then that money is still yours and can be gladly refunded to you upon your request.

The money in your wallet is used to pay for any one of the following things (some of these may not apply to you) :
  1. Rental and/or Levies
  2. Fixed monthly municipal charges
  3. Variable monthly municipal charges
  4. Recharges (top ups) for prepaid electricity meters, cold water meters and hot water meters
  5. Ad-hoc invoices that your estate or landlord bills to you.
Each estate and landlord has different rules about when their invoices become due. Usually this is on the first day of each month or shortly thereafter.

Prepaid meter recharges (top ups) happen only when a meter is running low on credit.
