Where can I view the current readings of my meter?

Log into the Unimet App using the credentials that were emailed to you when you were first registered on the Unimet platform.

As soon as you log in, you will land on the Dashboard. Navigate to the card labeled "My Metering". Click on the drop-down arrow to access the list of meters linked to your unit.

There are various functions that can be performed for each meter. To access the functions list, click on the green Meter Functions button or click on the three little dots alongside the meter name. This will open the functions list.

1. GET CURRENT VALUES will begin the process that communicates with your meter in real time to obtain the meter's lifetime usage reading as well as the prepaid credit balance. The lifetime reading is the total amount of units that the meter has read since it was commissioned. The prepaid credit balance is the amount of prepaid units still left on the meter.

2. RELAY / VALVE STATUS will begin the process that communicates with your meter in real time to obtain the on/off status of your meter. This is particularly useful if you don't have electricity or water and want to determine the cause.
If an electricity meter is on, it means that power is coming to the meter but there is a power interruption at some point after the meter.
If the water valve is open but there is no water, it means that no water is flowing through the pipes at that time.

3. STATISTICS will redirect you to the page in the Smartzone that will show your meter's statistics.

4. MANUALLY CHARGE METER will begin the process of topping up your meter. Depending on whether your wallet profile is on Automatic Vending or on Manual Vending, you will be presented with different top up options.

5. PREPAID TOKEN ADVANCE is a function that is only available to consumer's whose property manager has activated the ability to get small top ups even if there are no available funds in the wallet. Not all properties have this function enabled.






VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE !

Each of the above functions (except for the Statistics button) begins a very complicated process of communicating to your meter and giving your meter many different commands to execute. What you see on the Smartzone is just the tip of the iceberg of what happens in real life at your property at your meter. There are many steps that must happen successfully before the Smartzone will give you updated information, this can take some time. Please be patient while these processes take place.

The Smartzone is not just an App that performs processes on your device and in cloud servers. It interacts with real metering equipment at your place of business or residence. Depending on internet speeds, mobile data networks and many other factors the speed of response to the command that you select may vary from time to time.
